One of the memes taking the internet by storm (Reddit in particular) is the Sad Weapon from “Dragon Age: Inquisition.” I actually found the schematic for this weapon whilst rummaging through a pile of Snoufleur dung in a field in the Exalted Plains. I was so amused by my find that I had to share it with one of my friends. He told me, “What is that thing? I’ve been seeing it a bunch on Reddit” and I naturally told him I found it in a pile of crap. A schematic of a banana on a stick made out of splinters of seized keep doors? Okay, I can dig it.
I wanted to make a recipe for something to resemble this, but I couldn’t just nail a banana to a wooden pole. Well, I guess I could, but that wouldn’t make a great recipe. So I racked my brain and it finally clicked. Banana Runts glued to pretzel sticks! Thus the edible Sad Weapon was born. It has an…interesting taste. The dark chocolate and pretzel combination is phenomenal as always, and when the banana Runt is added it kind of tastes like a salty chocolate covered banana. It’s more of a conversation piece - like when you make them for your guests when they come over and they’re all like, “Oh, you!!!!”

Note: It’s a good thing to suck on the Runt a little before you bite onto it - I forgot how hard those suckers are!
Double note: I got about 18 unbroken banana Runts out of a movie theatre sized box.
