"WORLD OF WARCRAFT": CANDIED SWEET POTATOES.
Here’s another awesome recipe from World Of Warcraft’s Pilgrim’s Bounty! Delicious Mulgore Sweet Potatoes mashed together with Honey and Autumnal Herbs. May or may not regain health and mana while enjoying, however you will gain appetite haste once you take a bite of these! Don’t eat them too fast though, or you might feel like you were slowed by a Frost Mage.
LOOT: 12 SERVINGS.
MATS.
4 lb. Mulgore Sweet Potatoes, peeled and chopped into 1” pieces
2 sticks butter
1 cup dark brown sugar
1/4 cup honey (I used orange blossom honey, but regular is great too)
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground cloves
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 cup marshmallows
1 cup pecans, chopped
TOPPING.
2 cups marshmallows
1 cup pecans, chopped
EQUIPMENT.
potato peeler
knife
large pot
fire
medium saucepan
potato masher
spatula
9 x 13 baking dish, lightly oiled
STRAT.
1.) Preheat oven to 400ºF.
2.) Place the chopped sweet potatoes in a large pot. Fill with lightly salted water - just enough to cover the potatoes. Bring to a boil and cook until the potatoes are tender.
3.) While the sweet potatoes are cooking, melt together the butter, brown sugar, honey, salt, cloves, nutmeg, and cinnamon together over a medium flame. Stir in the marshmallows and pecans, remove from heat, and set aside.
4.) Once the potatoes are cooked, drain the excess water. Add the brown sugar mixture to the sweet potatoes and mash together with a potato masher, leaving some chunks behind.
5.) Scrape the sweet potatoes into a lightly oiled 9 x 13 baking dish and smooth out with a spatula. Sprinkle the top with remaining pecans, then marshmallows. It’s important to do it in that order so the pecans don’t burn (the marshmallows act like a bubble!)
6.) Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes, or until the marshmallows are melted and golden.
