"WORLD OF WARCRAFT": STUFFED LUSHROOMS.
This recipe is for one of the more recent recipes added in game. Fresh Lushrooms filled with delicious, slightly odd Mogu'shan Cheese - or white mushrooms and parmesan cheese if you can't get to Pandaria. The mushrooms are soft and juicy, where the filling is very earthy, light, and crispy. They make for an easy appetizer or even a fun side dish. No need to farm Ancient Guo-Lai Cache Keys for this tasty recipe! Decreases hunger for up to 2 hours. May or may not grant lots of Stamina, or grant mega HP and MP.
LOOT: 30 MUSHROOMS
MATS.
2 tbsp butter
1 medium onion, finely chopped
3/4 cup panko (Japanese breadcrumbs)
3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese (or Aged Mogu'shan Cheese if available)
2 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
4 tsp fresh sage, finely chopped
1 tbsp dried Mexican oregano
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
6 tbsp butter, melted
30 large white mushrooms, washed and stems removed (or Fresh Lushrooms if available)
olive oil
EQUIPMENT.
frying pan
large bowl
spatula
tablespoon-sized scoop or spoon
baking sheet lined with a silpat or foil
oven
STRAT.
1.) Preheat oven to 400ºF.
2.) In a frying pan over medium heat, add 2 tablespoons of butter. Once the butter is melted, add the finely chopped onion. Fry the onions until they are nice and caramelized, about 30 minutes. Make sure to frequently scrape the bottom of the pan with a spatula so the onions don't stick and burn.
3.) In a large bowl, add the panko, grated parmesan cheese, parsley, sage, oregano, salt, pepper, caramelized onions, and remaining 6 tablespoons of melted butter. Thoroughly mix with a spatula.
4.) On a lined sheet pan, place the mushrooms cavity side up. Fill each mushroom with roughly 1 tbsp of filling. Drizzle the tops with a little olive oil and place in the oven. Bake until the mushrooms are tender and the filling is nice and crisp, about 25 minutes.
