"SKYRIM": GARLIC BREAD.
The Hearthfire add-on for Skyrim really expanded the cooking in the game, which makes posting recipes from the game even better! We are no longer limited to posting recipes for dog meat and creepy looking soups. This is the first of more Skyrim/Hearthfire recipes to come. It's a wickedly simple recipe for incredible garlic bread. It's super easy, and there's even a recipe included for fresh bread, which tastes WAY better than store-bought bread.
LOOT: 2 LOAVES
MATS.
2 small loaves french bread (or 1 recipe of Bread)
1 stick butter, room temperature
1 tbsp garlic, minced
1 tbsp fresh parsley, minced
1/2 tsp pepper
1/3 cup grated parmesan or romano cheese
EQUIPMENT.
spatula
knife
oven
2 sheet pans
silpat (or parchment paper)
STRAT.
1.) Preheat oven to 375*F. Line 2 sheet pans with silpats or parchment.
2.) In a small bowl, mix together the butter, garlic, parsley, pepper, and cheese. Set aside.
3.) Split the 2 loaves of bread in half lengthwise. Spread 1/4 of the butter mixture on each piece of bread with a spatula, completely covering the top.
4.) Place on prepared sheet pans and bake for 15 minutes, or until the cheese is nice and bubbly and has a golden color. Let cool for a couple minutes, then slice and serve!
