"LEGEND OF ZELDA": BLUE(BERRY) CHU JELLY.

  • Jul 8, 2014
  • 1 min read

Here is a recipe for the rarest of the rare chu jellies - blue chu jelly! Now, I know technically it's not blue once cooked, but it is still super delicious and worthy of the chu jelly name! May or may not restore health and magic power.

LOOT: 2 CUPS

MATS.

2- 6 oz packages fresh blueberries

2 cups sugar

1 tbsp lemon juice

EQUIPMENT.

medium saucepan

spatula

potato masher

fire

STRAT.

1.) Thoroughly rinse and clean the blueberries, removing all stems and foliage. Place them in a medium saucepan.

2.) Add the sugar and lemon juice to the blueberries and mash with a potato masher until everything is combined and the fruit is relatively smooth with some chunks. Clean off the sides of the pan with a spatula (this is important so you don't burn any excess sugar)

3.) Over a medium flame, bring the kiwi mixture to a boil. Boil uncovered for about 10 minutes (or until the mixture thickens, you should feel some resistance while stirring, and if you spoon some mixture and let it cool it should be thick), scraping the sides and bottom of the pan with a spatula occasionally to prevent it from burning.

4.) Remove from heat pour into canning jars (I personally have never canned, but here's a wiki on canning) or pour into tupperware if you plan on eating it quickly. If you choose to put it in tupperware, let it cool until it's room temperature, then cover and place in the fridge.
