"WORLD OF WARCRAFT": DRAGONBREATH CHILI.

Use: Increases fullness for up to 4 hours. Must remain seated while eating. Temporarily allows you to breathe fire (figuratively) for 10 minutes after consumption.

This chili is HOT! What's so great about this chili though is it is pretty darn hot, but it doesn't hang around. You can still eat a serving without sweating bullets or it being too hot for you to keep eating. The afterburn is also pretty much nonexistent.

*If you do not like super spicy, I suggest omitting the habanero!*

**I HIGHLY recommend wearing gloves while handling the hot peppers!**

LOOT: 6 SERVINGS

MATS.

2 tbsp olive oil

1 medium onion, chopped

3 garlic cloves, minced

1 1/2 ground beef (or ground turkey)

1 - 1 oz package fajita seasoning mix

2 cups beef broth (or chicken broth if you're using turkey)

1 habanero, minced (remove the seeds)

1 jalapeno, minced (remove the seeds)

2 serrano peppers, minced (remove the seeds)

1 cup chipotle salsa

1 - 7 oz can fire roasted diced green chiles

1 - 6 oz can tomato paste

1 - 14 1/2 oz can tomatoes with green chiles and spices

1 - 15 oz can white beans

1 tbsp chili garlic sauce

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp coriander

1 tsp black pepper

sharp cheddar cheese

sour cream*

oyster crackers

STRAT.

1.) In a large pot over a medium flame, heat the olive oil.

2.) Add the chopped onion and sautee for about 3 minutes, or until the onions begin to turn translucent.

3.) Add the garlic and cook, stirring occasionally for another 2 minutes, until the garlic just starts to brown.

4.) Add the ground beef (or turkey) and the fajita seasoning packet to the onion mixture and stir, breaking up the meat into small pieces. Brown the meat for about 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally and scraping the bottom of the pan.

5.) Once the meat is thoroughly cooked, add the broth, habanero, jalapeno, serranos, chipotle salsa, diced green chiles, tomato paste, tomatoes in green chiles and spices, beans, chili garlic sauce, garlic powder, coriander, and black pepper. Stir until everything is mixed well.

6.) Bring the chili to a light simmer and reduce heat to low to maintain the low simmer. Cook for another 15-20 minutes uncovered until it has thickened nicely. If your chili is too thick then adjust with extra broth.

7.) Scoop into bowls and top with sour cream, sharp cheddar cheese, and oyster crackers. Enjoy, and be careful not to burn anything with your fiery dragonbreath :)

*PRO TIP: Lowfat or nonfat plain yogurt is a great, lighter alternative to sour cream!
