"SPACEBALLS": EAGLE 5 RASPBERRY JAM.

  • Apr 18, 2014
  • 1 min read

This is a very interesting raspberry jam recipe. It comes in stages of sweet, sour, and tartness that will definitely take your tastebuds for a ride on the Eagle 5. If you dare give someone the raspberry, this would be the one to give.

LOOT: 2 CUPS

MATS.

2 cups fresh raspberries

2 1/4 cups granulated sugar

1 tbsp lime juice

1 small blood orange

EQUIPMENT.

saucepan

fire

microplane

STRAT.

1.) Rinse your raspberries thoroughly. Discard any excess stems or foliage.

2.) Mash together your raspberries, sugar and lime juice in a large saucepan over medium heat. Using a microplane, take the zest from the blood orange and add it to your pan, then add the juice from the orange. Make sure there is enough room in your pan for the mixture to double in size.

3.) Mix together all of the ingredients until fully incorporated, making sure you mash all of the berries until smooth and that all of the sugar is thoroughly mixed in.

4.) Bring your jam to a boil, and hold the boil for about 5 minutes, or until the mixture is thick.

5.) Immediately remove from heat and pour into canning jars.
