"GAME OF THRONES": HOW TO COOK EVERY F**KING CHICKEN IN THE ROOM.
Now I don't know about you, but I sure have some friends just as ravenous as The Hound. Here is a recipe sure enough to keep all your hounds in check, by cooking this incredibly simple yet delicious recipe fit for every f**king chicken you have in your home.
LOOT: 1 DELICIOUS CHICKEN
MATS.
1 whole chicken, raw, completely defrosted
butter
salt
pepper
CHERRY GLAZE.
1 cup apple cider vinegar
2/3 cup honey
1 tbsp butter
1 tbsp fresh mint, finely chopped
1 cup dried cherries, minced
salt and pepper, to taste
EQUIPMENT.
oven
roasting rack
brush
digital thermometer
fire
saucepan
STRAT.
1.) Preheat your oven to 450ºF
2.) Thoroughly wash your chicken, both outside and the cavity. Remove any giblets that remain inside the cavity. Set your bird upon your roasting rack (if you do not have one, I advise purchasing one, if not then use a nonstick pan such as Pyrex.) Pat dry with a paper towel.
3.) Melt your butter in the microwave. Use 1 tsp per pound of your chicken (e.g. if your bird weighs 4 lbs, use 1 tbsp + 1 tsp)
4.) Brush your bird thoroughly with the melted butter. Make sure to cover all the skin, since the butter is what makes the skin so crispy paired with the oven temperature.
5.) Generously season your bird with salt and pepper to your liking.
6.) Insert your digital thermometer into the thickest part of the breast. Set your temperature alert to 165ºF and cook until done.
7.) Let your bird rest for at least 15 minutes before carving to ensure all juices are sealed within the meat.
CHERRY GLAZE.
1.) Mix together all of your glaze mats into a saucepan.
2.) Bring the mixture to a boil.
3.) Reduce to a simmer. Reduce for about 20 to 30 minutes, until the mixture is thickened and approximately half its original volume.
4.) Spoon some of the glaze on top of your chicken until well coated. Pour the remaining glaze into a bowl and serve on the side as an extra dip.
